Paco Sirvent might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roldán Quintero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paco Sirvent ran back to his position shaking his head. Paco Sirvent's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roldán Quintero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Roldán Quintero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paco Sirvent in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Paco Sirvent ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roldán Quintero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Nando Carballido kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 23rdth minute of the game Paco Sirvent who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KKKul's Roldán Quintero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. KKKul's Roldán Quintero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paco Sirvent in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to KKKul getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Rosario Teruel hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the game, Paco Sirvent cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Roldán Quintero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roldán Quintero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paco Sirvent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nemesio Etxeberria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Roldán Quintero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paco Sirvent stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mambru Reyes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roldán Quintero came out and tried to block the shot, but Mambru Reyes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 56th minute. After a rather tough play, KKKul's Nando Carballido got a free kick in the 61st minute. Paco Sirvent's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roldán Quintero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Roldán Quintero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santander SD. Paco Sirvents short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Roldán Quintero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 79 played minutes Santander SD got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Etxeberria. The audience was convinced that Hipolito Treviño's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aladino Echeto was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. If Paco Sirvent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 92 minutes, Paco Sirvent managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
