Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Montez Vuelta took the kick off in the first half of the match. Andoni Nafría made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santxo Zubiaga in the 3rd minute of play. Montez Vuelta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 8 minutes into the game, Nicholas Casero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canarias CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Senes De Alcubierre the free kick. Nicholas Casero hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Santxo Zubiaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Andoni Nafría tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Tirso Barberá left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Senes De Alcubierre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Humberto Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sinforoso Cano in the 29th minute of play. Santxo Zubiaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andoni Nafría having to interfere. Elivareo Zapico charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elivareo Zapico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Canarias CF booed when Senes De Alcubierre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivareo Zapico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Canarias CF's Andoni Nafría proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Canarias CF from getting a goal against them. Sinforoso Cano struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Humberto Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canarias CF. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santxo Zubiaga made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Elivareo Zapico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quirze Alcaraz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 55 played minutes Senes De Alcubierre got a freekick which was hit by Serafín Vazquez. In the 58th minute, Montez Vuelta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lolo Pedrosa fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Senes De Alcubierre's protests and gave Lolo Pedrosa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Lolo Pedrosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sinforoso Cano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tirso Barberá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91stth minute of the game Santxo Zubiaga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canarias CF's Andoni Nafría was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andoni Nafría made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tirso Barberá in the 95th minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, Quirze Alcaraz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canarias CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Senes De Alcubierre the free kick. Lauro Muelas walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.
