Melquiades Olmos's late challenge caught a Puigcerdà FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melquiades Olmos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, Esterri De Cardos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Olmos to maneuver through the defense. Misael Briso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernán Valdivia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michel Acedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Olmos in the 49th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabino Romero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Juan Manzano fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esterri De Cardos's protests and gave Juan Manzano a yellow card for diving instead. Juan Manzano kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Esterri De Cardos defense, Pastor Galdamez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Misael Briso. In the 63rd minute of the match Melquiades Olmos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michel Acedo skillfully saved the ball. In the 64th minute Xabat Pastor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Acedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Melquiades Olmos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esterri De Cardos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When Chico Bellido came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Esterri De Cardos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chico Bellido couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Puigcerdà FC's Cirilo Irureta got a free kick in the 74th minute. Xabat Pastor kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Esterri De Cardos got a freekick which was hit by Monte Olle. Gabino Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. After 88 minutes Puigcerdà FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Melquiades Olmos who took care of the corner kick. Pascual Zapico's late challenge caught a Puigcerdà FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascual Zapico helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Esterri De Cardos getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Pascual Zapico hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Puigcerdà FC's zone, Xabat Pastor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Acedo came out of the goal and Xabat Pastor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melquiades Olmos struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Michel Acedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esterri De Cardos. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Esterri De Cardos had played much better football throughout.
