Fonolleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Ruiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Alexander Ruiz sped through Grandes del Cabanillas FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Melquiades Diaz. 71 minutes into the game, Fonolleres's Alexander Ruiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Diaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Melquiades Diaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Zubiaga in the 75th minute of play. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fonolleres fully deserved thier win.
