But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Lopez de Toro couldn't finish the play. RCD Pinar de Jalon's Rexino Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Laurin Lastras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zelipe Uria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Lopez de Toro in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, RCD Pinar de Jalon's goal looked a bit too open when Laurin Lastras came free, but Pericles Sierra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, RCD Pinar de Jalon's goalkeeper Pericles Sierra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amadeo Vazquez. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Laurin Lastras made the kick off in the second half. Zelipe Uria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RCD Pinar de Jalon. Rexino Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zelipe Uria having to interfere. RCD Pinar de Jalon were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Casa De Las Cauques's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Santi Llinares took the corner. Ovidio Lopez de Toro scored 1-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zelipe Uria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ovidio Lopez de Toro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ovidio Lopez de Toro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zelipe Uria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play.
