Bastia Maroto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iosu Casanova having to make a save. The San Mauro SD fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when San Mauro SD's Severo Nunez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 17th minute, Luey CD's Apal Zaplana ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iosu Casanova. Iosu Casanova yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Manolito Alfaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tohias Vila, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Luey CD's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Nunez came free, but Manolito Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bastia Maroto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iosu Casanova having to interfere. A hard shot 26 in the game by Bastia Maroto from a close distance when the talented Iosu Casanova managed to make a qualified save. San Mauro SD's players were relieved. If Apal Zaplana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manolito Alfaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Nunez in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tohias Vila in the 45th minute of play forced Luey CD's goalkeeper Manolito Alfaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tohias Vila came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the San Mauro SD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tohias Vila couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tohias Vila stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Severo Nunez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Belisario Garrido fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luey CD's protests and gave Belisario Garrido a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of San Mauro SD booed when Luey CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belisario Garrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. San Mauro SD were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Luey CD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Selmo Diaz took the corner. The corner ended in Selmo Diaz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Luey CD's Manolito Alfaro did a great save. After some careless play in the San Mauro SD defense, Bastia Maroto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iosu Casanova. The San Mauro SD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iosu Casanova should have stopped the shot. In the 71st minute Tohias Vila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manolito Alfaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severo Nunez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manolito Alfaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. If Severo Nunez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in San Mauro SD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Luey CD a penalty, 81 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Belisario Garrido, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of San Mauro SD's Iosu Casanova. 3-1. 89 minutes into the game, Giraldo Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luey CD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Mauro SD the free kick. In the 89th minute, Giraldo Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Apal Zaplana made a precise shot to the right of Iosu Casanova. San Mauro SD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Luey CD's Manolito Alfaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Luey CD from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the San Mauro SD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Luey CD.
