Israel Mala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Dean in the 4th minute of the match. Francisco Duarte struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Paco Planes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cudillero FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Francisco Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cudillero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paco Planes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marino Armada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Israel Mala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Cudillero FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Dean came free, but Israel Mala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tato Bouzas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Paco Planes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute of the match Auderico Checa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paco Planes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 26th minute Sergio Dean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Mala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregorio Sarrate struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Paco Planes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cudillero FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marino Armada in the 33rd minute of play forced Cudillero FC's goalkeeper Israel Mala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Auderico Checa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Paco Planes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sporting de Valdemir's Fortunato Casanova got a free kick in the 40th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Duarte in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paco Planes saved Sporting de Valdemir from getting behind. Paco Planes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Duarte in the 45th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Duarte to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Sporting de Valdemir:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cudillero FC:s goal. Paco Planes went to the wrong direction when Arturo Vilanova was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Sergio Dean took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Israel Mala. Israel Mala dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Marino Armada might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Israel Mala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marino Armada ran back to his position shaking his head. 76 minutes into the game, Leonides Romero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting de Valdemir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cudillero FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sporting de Valdemir's Leonides Romero got a free kick in the 76th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Duarte in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paco Planes saved Sporting de Valdemir from getting behind. In the 83rd minute, Tato Bouzas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th match minute, Sporting de Valdemir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Dean to maneuver through the defense. Sergio Dean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Israel Mala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Duarte in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paco Planes saved Sporting de Valdemir from getting behind. A collision led to Sporting de Valdemir getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Fernando Pais hit a great ball. In the 99th minute of the match Arturo Vilanova sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paco Planes skillfully saved the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cudillero FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
