Vitor Macho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Republicanos de Madrid FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eneko Quevedo came free, but Lluis Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diagur Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute Eneko Quevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lluis Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 2-5 when Eneko Quevedo sped through Republicanos de Madrid FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lluis Ortiz. Cádiz C.F.'s Carlo Correa got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Eneko Quevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
