Joan Blazquez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ursino Infante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Andres Macia's late challenge caught a Fuensanta C.F.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andres Macia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Málaga City C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andres Macia to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the game, Melchor Sans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Málaga City C.F.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fuensanta C.F. the free kick. Melchor Sans kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. With his leg Ursino Infante managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Fuensanta C.F.'s Lleir Verdeja fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 23 minutes of play Málaga City C.F.'s Melchor Sans was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Fuensanta C.F. booed when Málaga City C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Sans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ursino Infante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lleir Verdeja in the 27th minute. Aliecer Quevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ursino Infante having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ursino Infante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lleir Verdeja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Aliecer Quevedo notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Málaga City C.F.'s Ursino Infante. Ursino Infante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andres Macia to make the kick off. Ursino Infante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lleir Verdeja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ursino Infante made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Fuensanta C.F.'s Aliecer Quevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 82 minutes, Aliecer Quevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fuensanta C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Aliecer Quevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lleir Verdeja blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ursino Infante having to make a save. In the 89th match minute, Málaga City C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaitan Villafane to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Fuensanta C.F. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
