But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sotil Mera couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rencio Moya in the 31st minute of play forced Casau CD's goalkeeper Lleir Otero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Sotil Mera kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thiago Encina. That made the score 1-1 in the 40 minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sotil Mera was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sotil Mera in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Encina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thiago Encina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sotil Mera, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Casau CD's Lleir Otero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Losada in the 57th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, PEÑA ROJA's goal looked a bit too open when Fresco Gómez came free, but Thiago Encina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
