Bazil Negro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Lleir Otero made a huge save. Inko Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inko Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes ChilEspaña got a freekick which was hit by Inko Barbosa. A collision led to ChilEspaña getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Yuri Ponce hit a great ball. Bazil Negros short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Lleir Otero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sotil Mera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Lopez having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Fresco Gómez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute Sotil Mera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bazil Negro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Lleir Otero skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Patxi Castillo's late challenge caught a ChilEspaña's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. ChilEspaña were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
