In the 4th minute, Gascones's Bela Carro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Hussein Aguilar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Valdivia having to interfere. Luis Valdivia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerrald Japón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 minutes Gascones's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jerrald Japón who took care of the corner kick. Jerrald Japón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Valdivia having to interfere. Lucas Sampil's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Anter De Paula skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Hussein Aguilar came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Mavericks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hussein Aguilar couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Gascones booed when Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cordareo Domingo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerrald Japón in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luis Valdivia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bela Carro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the game, Mavericks's Jerrald Japón nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luis Valdivia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After having played for 37 minutes, Bela Carro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gascones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bela Carro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 38 played minutes Gascones got a freekick which was hit by José Dominguez. After a rather tough play, Gascones's Bela Carro got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half Mavericks were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bela Carro to strike the kick off in the second half. Zeruko Carrasco's late challenge caught a Gascones's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeruko Carrasco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, Mavericks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeruko Carrasco to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Gascones getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Lucas Sampil hit a great ball. Zeruko Carrasco struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Luis Valdivia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mavericks. Gregorio Zamora hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Hussein Aguilar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Luis Valdivia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 77 played minutes Gascones got a freekick which was hit by Zigor Salan. If Bela Carro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute.
