After 8 played minutes, C.D Numancia's Castel Silvestre shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jusepe Saura came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C.D Numancia reached it. Leonardo Campoamor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, C.D Numancia's Blai Ortega sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jusepe Saura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Real Madrid C.F getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ray Madariaga hit a great ball. Jusepe Saura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Campoamor in the 19th minute of play. Bertol Andres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vito Ruiz in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, C.D Numancia's Batista Morientes got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Bertol Andres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quique Campoamor in the 26th minute of the match. Bertol Andres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quique Campoamor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jusepe Saura came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by C.D Numancia's Blai Ortega. But to his dismay, Blai Ortega quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 35 minutes of play, C.D Numancia's Leonardo Campoamor made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jusepe Saura was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Real Madrid C.F defense, Blai Ortega kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jusepe Saura. The Real Madrid C.F fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jusepe Saura should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute of the match, Cristobal Vacas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bertol Andres was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Real Madrid C.F players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C.D Numancia were winning 0-3.

Castel Silvestre kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Quique Campoamor in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertol Andres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 58 minutes, Batista Morientes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.D Numancia and the Real Madrid C.F players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute Cristobal Vacas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertol Andres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd play minute Leonardo Campoamor came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jusepe Saura. 0-4. Bertol Andres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Vacas, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blai Ortega in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jusepe Saura saved Real Madrid C.F from getting behind. In the 72nd minute, Leonardo Campoamor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Real Madrid C.F getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Vito Ruiz hit a great ball. Batista Morientes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jusepe Saura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blai Ortega's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After 84 played minutes, C.D Numancia's Castel Silvestre shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jusepe Saura came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. C.D Numancia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
