Real Sociedad F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.D Numancia the free kick. A collision led to Real Sociedad F.C getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Tello Olmedo hit a great ball. Leonardo Campoamor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Hanot Mera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hanot Mera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blai Ortega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tello Olmedo got his second yellow card in the match during the 12th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Leonardo Campoamor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hanot Mera having to interfere. Santi Jaen kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. When Celso Ponte came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Real Sociedad F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Ponte couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Blai Ortega managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.D Numancia's supporters rose to their feet, but Blai Ortega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hanot Mera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When C.D Numancia's Blai Ortega in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Sociedad F.C's goalie prevented a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Blai Ortega stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 60 minutes, Leonardo Campoamor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.D Numancia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Campoamor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonardo Campoamor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Hanot Mera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hanot Mera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blai Ortega in the 72nd minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of C.D Numancia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Real Sociedad F.C:s goal. Bertol Andres made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Claudio Figueroa sent off a good shot on target. When Claudio Figueroa fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Sociedad F.C's protests and gave Claudio Figueroa a yellow card for diving instead. Claudio Figueroa hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the game, Blai Ortega cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Hanot Mera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Blai Ortega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 95 minutes into the game, C.D Numancia's Leonardo Campoamor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hanot Mera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. C.D Numancia fully deserved thier win.
