After 5 minutes, Antimo Prats made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. El Vallecillo UD's Heriberto Contreras tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Salbatore Casas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the game, Olympiakos Piraeus's Taio Murcia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Heriberto Contreras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Salbatore Casas might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diagur Planes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Salbatore Casas ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taio Murcia in the 39th minute of play forced El Vallecillo UD's goalkeeper Heriberto Contreras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heriberto Contreras came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Olympiakos Piraeus's Antimo Prats. But to his dismay, Antimo Prats quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 46th minute Taio Murcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heriberto Contreras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Mel Acedo made the kick off in the second half. Mel Acedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olympiakos Piraeus's Diagur Planes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mel Acedo in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Taio Murcia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Heriberto Contreras, 0-4. Olympiakos Piraeus's Diagur Planes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salbatore Casas in the 63rd minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Olympiakos Piraeus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lluis Olano to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the game, Antimo Prats cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Heriberto Contreras was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 77 minutes into the match, Mel Acedo notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Olympiakos Piraeus's Diagur Planes. Diagur Planes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Taio Murcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Antimo Prats fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Heriberto Contreras, passed just outside the right post. Epifanio Medina charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Epifanio Medina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Taio Murcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Salbatore Casas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Olympiakos Piraeus players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
