In the 10th minute, Timo Zapata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aberri Taules hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vilapericos's zone, Timo Zapata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertran Martinez came out of the goal and Timo Zapata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 16 played minutes Vilapericos got a freekick which was hit by Albino Idiaquez. After having played for 19 minutes, Eligio Vives managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Palma Debre CD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eligio Vives was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of La Palma Debre CD booed when Vilapericos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Idiaquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, La Palma Debre CD's Aitor Hevia tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Bertran Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timo Zapata in the 29th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lekumberri Bouzas during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 played minutes Vilapericos got a freekick which was hit by Lekumberri Bouzas. Lekumberri Bouzas kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Eligio Vives had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bertran Martinez. Vilapericos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eligio Vives was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. La Palma Debre CD's Alonso Serrano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avellano Cayuela in the 40th minute of play. If Avellano Cayuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eligio Vives stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Albino Idiaquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 52 minutes into the match, La Palma Debre CD's goal looked a bit too open when Avellano Cayuela came free, but Alonso Serrano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raymundo Barrios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alonso Serrano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lekumberri Bouzas, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Avellano Cayuela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacobo Goyanes's late challenge caught a Vilapericos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The La Palma Debre CD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Palma Debre CD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
