The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Los Mocanes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xove Zaplana to maneuver through the defense. Gelacio Barba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Dorado in the 14th minute. Clemente Griego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yoel Dellasierra during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Gelacio Barba had in the 64thth minute some difficulties stopping Adulfo Leyva's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Ander Folch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to La Horca SD getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Cristián Salan hit a great ball. Isidoro Dorado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Gelacio Barba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Ander Folch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelacio Barba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yoel Dellasierra might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gelacio Barba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yoel Dellasierra ran back to his position shaking his head. Isidoro Dorado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
