Heli Japón hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Alain Valdés recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciano Macías made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bastia Redondo in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Barakaldo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alain Valdés came free, but Ciano Macías reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barakaldo FC's goalkeeper Ciano Macías, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Agustín Rico kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Bastia Redondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ciano Macías tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Barakaldo FC's Rafael Calatayud got a free kick in the 17th minute. Olimpic Tala's Bastia Redondo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Heli Japón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 played minutes, Olimpic Tala's Hitzeder Canosa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ciano Macías came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Olimpic Tala reached it. Bastia Redondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Jimenez made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Gaztea Garzon sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 44 minutes, Bastia Redondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olimpic Tala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bastia Redondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciano Macías made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alain Valdés in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olaf Maroto was the one to do the kick off. Ciano Macías made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Alain Valdés sent off a good shot on target. Olaf Maroto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Jimenez having to interfere. If Alain Valdés had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciano Macías took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastia Redondo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Bastia Redondo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciano Macías. Barakaldo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bastia Redondo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The long shot by Frederick Carro in the 76th minute really tested Ciano Macías's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Chano Fuentes kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Bastia Redondo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpic Tala's supporters rose to their feet, but Bastia Redondo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciano Macías breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alain Valdés sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 92 minutes, Bastia Redondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olimpic Tala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bastia Redondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alain Valdés struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Ciano Macías didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olimpic Tala. Olimpic Tala's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
