Ciano Macías made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cutberto Quesada in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Barakaldo FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ander De Paula hit a great ball. Curro Cambero, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Lino Rua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olaf Maroto in the 19th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damian Cambero got free with Ciano Macías in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciano Macías was a little too slow when Damian Cambero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-0. Damian Cambero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Ciano Macías made a huge save. Damian Cambero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Ciano Macías when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ciano Macías showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cutberto Quesada, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 38 played minutes Barakaldo FC got a freekick which was hit by Olaf Maroto. Olaf Maroto took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lino Rua. Lino Rua dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cutberto Quesada stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Barakaldo FC's Chano Fuentes got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 53 minutes into the match, Barakaldo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cutberto Quesada came free, but Ciano Macías reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Barakaldo FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Perico Borrás hit a great ball. Cutberto Quesada scored 2-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciano Macías, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Cutberto Quesada came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the SOY DEL PRINCIPE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cutberto Quesada couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute, Damian Cambero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SOY DEL PRINCIPE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. A hard shot 76 in the game by Gaztea Garzon from a close distance when the talented Lino Rua managed to make a qualified save. SOY DEL PRINCIPE's players were relieved. After some careless play in the Barakaldo FC defense, Cutberto Quesada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciano Macías. The Barakaldo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciano Macías should have stopped the shot. If Cutberto Quesada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Cambero in the 88th minute of play forced Barakaldo FC's goalkeeper Ciano Macías to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
