Spectators: 7173 (Terracing: 5485, Seating: 1682, VIP seats: 6) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Walter Briant got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernán Menendez in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Everardo Navarro saved Salseo FC from getting behind. In the 12th minute, Hernán Menendez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Everardo Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Everardo Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Briant, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Everardo Navarro came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by S. E Palmeiras's Miguel Ángel Viguera. But to his dismay, Miguel Ángel Viguera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Hernán Menendez took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Everardo Navarro. Everardo Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After 25 minutes of play, S. E Palmeiras's Hernán Menendez made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Everardo Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Everardo Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Walter Briant's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Salseo FC's Everardo Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernán Menendez in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of S. E Palmeiras booed when Salseo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bardo Pascua didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Salseo FC's zone, Miguel Ángel Viguera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everardo Navarro came out of the goal and Miguel Ángel Viguera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Walter Briant sped through Salseo FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Everardo Navarro. 45 minutes into the game, Hernán Menendez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Everardo Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half S. E Palmeiras were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cesario De la Torre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Cesario De la Torre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salseo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S. E Palmeiras the free kick. After 51 played minutes Salseo FC got a freekick which was hit by Cesario De la Torre. 59 minutes into the match, Salseo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hernán Menendez came free, but Everardo Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernán Menendez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Everardo Navarro came out and tried to block the shot, but Hernán Menendez slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 60th minute. Everardo Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernán Menendez's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. With his leg Everardo Navarro managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when S. E Palmeiras's Hernán Menendez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 68 minutes, Ismael Cameno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S. E Palmeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Cameno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walter Briant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Everardo Navarro made a huge save. Walter Briants short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Everardo Navarro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hernán Menendez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Everardo Navarro came out and tried to block the shot, but Hernán Menendez slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 75th minute. Hernán Menendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Navarro having to interfere. Gabi Sierra kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Miguel Ángel Viguera succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-11 in the 87th playminute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernán Menendez in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Everardo Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hernán Menendez scored 0-12 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Everardo Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over S. E Palmeiras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Salseo FC throughout the match.
