Spectators: 7141 (Terracing: 5427, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 50) After some careless play in the La Coruña defense, Vito Serena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Garibaldo Lozano. The La Coruña fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Garibaldo Lozano should have stopped the shot. Guillermo Alcaraz came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by La Coruña's Adulfo Zárate. But to his dismay, Adulfo Zárate quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adulfo Zárate in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guillermo Alcaraz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Aras UD's Santo Muelas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Garibaldo Lozano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vito Serena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garibaldo Lozano having to interfere. Rosalio Jauregui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, La Coruña's goalkeeper Garibaldo Lozano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vito Serena. In the 31stth minute of the game Santo Muelas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Coruña's Garibaldo Lozano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cidro Alacuart kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Adulfo Zárate managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Coruña's supporters rose to their feet, but Adulfo Zárate was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Alcaraz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 44 played minutes La Coruña got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Sacristán. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adulfo Zárate stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Santo Muelas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garibaldo Lozano having to interfere. After having played for 60 minutes, Vito Serena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aras UD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vito Serena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to La Coruña getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Hernán Martin hit a great ball. If Vito Serena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Muelas in the 66th minute of play forced La Coruña's goalkeeper Garibaldo Lozano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rosalio Jauregui in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guillermo Alcaraz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Guillermo Alcaraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adulfo Zárate in the 77th minute of the match. Garibaldo Lozano came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Aras UD's Santo Muelas. But to his dismay, Santo Muelas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Santos Patiño hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Guillermo Alcaraz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Haritz Alvarez. When Haritz Alvarez fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Coruña's protests and gave Haritz Alvarez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, Haritz Alvarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute Santo Muelas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garibaldo Lozano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Santo Muelas notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of La Coruña's Garibaldo Lozano. Garibaldo Lozano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aras UD were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
