When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, Candelaria CD's Dolfos Guijarro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Unai Gonzáles. Unai Gonzáles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Viqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After a rather tough play, Candelaria CD's Alfonso Beloki got a free kick in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Passos in the 16th minute of play forced Los hijos de Amunike's goalkeeper Unai Gonzáles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unai Gonzáles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Alonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 25th match minute, Los hijos de Amunike was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lonzo Fonticoba to maneuver through the defense. Segundo Viqueira had several of the Los hijos de Amunike's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 26 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Unai Gonzáles as he didn't even see the shot coming. After having played for 29 minutes, Segundo Viqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candelaria CD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Segundo Viqueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Candelaria CD's Hortêncio Passos got a free kick in the 31st minute. Unai Gonzáles made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Segundo Viqueira sent off a good shot on target. Curcio Elias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Tobia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 played minutes, Candelaria CD's Pelayo Aznar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Unai Gonzáles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Candelaria CD reached it. Lisandro Alonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Segundo Viqueira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Unai Gonzáles skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Los hijos de Amunike's Amador Palacios got a free kick in the 45th minute. Lonzo Fonticoba kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Pelayo Aznar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candelaria CD's supporters rose to their feet, but Pelayo Aznar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Unai Gonzáles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amador Palacios stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Los hijos de Amunike's Unai Gonzáles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Passos in the 52nd minute of play. Amador Palacios hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. A collision led to Los hijos de Amunike getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Lonzo Fonticoba hit a great ball. Candelaria CD's Segundo Viqueira got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Los hijos de Amunike's Luis Coello got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The Candelaria CD fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Candelaria CD's Segundo Viqueira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 74th minute Segundo Viqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Unai Gonzáles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Segundo Viqueira in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Unai Gonzáles saved Los hijos de Amunike from getting behind. A collision led to Los hijos de Amunike getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Amador Climent hit a great ball. Candelaria CD made a substitution. Telmo Calatayud replaced Pelayo Aznar. Candelaria CD's Onofre Morales was substituted for Hortêncio Passos. Amador Climent hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Candelaria CD's Segundo Viqueira got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Segundo Viqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Unai Gonzáles having to interfere. Luis Coello kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Candelaria CD had played much better football throughout.
