In the 4th minute, Damian Novo made a precise shot to the right of Aritz Amorebieta. Valls United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When Nacho Alcalde came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Valls United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nacho Alcalde couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Nacho March managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valls United's supporters rose to their feet, but Nacho March was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Galdamez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Nacho March got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leocadio Solera during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Valls United getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Leocadio Solera hit a great ball. With a little luck, Valls United's Aritz Amorebieta got control of the ball when Rafael Hernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Damian Novo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Aritz Amorebieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damian Novo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Rafael Hernandez sped through Valls United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aritz Amorebieta. If Nacho Alcalde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Leocadio Solera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Velez Rubio's Amarante Jauregui couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Valls United. Damian Novo took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aritz Amorebieta. Aritz Amorebieta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Nacho March didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 3-1 via right post in the game's 71st minute. Valls United's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Velez Rubio's Pedro Galdamez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Velez Rubio from getting a goal against them. Nacho Alcalde struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Pedro Galdamez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valls United. If Rafael Hernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nacho March sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nacho Alcalde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Galdamez having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Valls United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Velez Rubio.
