Leandro Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortun Campoamor in the 7th minute of the match. Mejorada's Elivareo Bacete got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 14 minutes, Fortun Campoamor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mejorada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fortun Campoamor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tabor Rivera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Mejorada's Fortun Campoamor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leandro Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arnas Guerrero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reno Calvo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Reno Calvo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 36 minutes in the game, Fortun Campoamor dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Alustante AD's Leandro Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivareo Bacete in the 38th minute of play. After 42 minutes of play, Alustante AD's Tabor Rivera made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnas Guerrero was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Fortun Campoamor made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Tabor Rivera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th minute, Fortun Campoamor reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leandro Vera. The goal made the score 1-1. Elivareo Bacete could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Leandro Vera made a huge save. Leandro Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elivareo Bacete in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Elivareo Bacete managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mejorada's supporters rose to their feet, but Elivareo Bacete was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tabor Rivera in the 80th minute of play forced Mejorada's goalkeeper Arnas Guerrero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 minutes, César Sarro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alustante AD and the Mejorada players grew even worse after the yellow card. César Sarro kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Fortun Campoamor came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Mejorada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fortun Campoamor couldn't finish the play. In the 85th match minute, Alustante AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Gasso to maneuver through the defense. Leandro Vera made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Elivareo Bacete sent off a good shot on target.
