When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Bibiano Canal sped through Aguas Buenas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thomas Quesada. Iwan Grucza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Quesada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Aguas Buenas's Silviano Soldado pulled a muscle in his leg after 16 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Bibiano Canal charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bibiano Canal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SAN MAMED C.F S.A.D. getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Bibiano Canal hit a great ball. Thomas Quesada was a little too slow when Bibiano Canal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 3-0. After 34 minutes, Iwan Grucza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAN MAMED C.F S.A.D. and the Aguas Buenas players grew even worse after the yellow card. SAN MAMED C.F S.A.D.'s Arnalt Alonso was substituted for Dolfo Vallejo. Thomas Quesada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Moutinho in the 87th minute of play. Arnalt Alonso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Quesada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. If Arnalt Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aguas Buenas's goalkeeper Thomas Quesada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Sérgio Moutinho came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the SAN MAMED C.F S.A.D. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Moutinho couldn't finish the play. SAN MAMED C.F S.A.D. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
