Frasco Cameno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anibal Bajo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Octavio Prats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Harroyo having to interfere. If Octavio Prats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the At. Desamparados B defense, Colas Freire kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ofelio Palencia. The At. Desamparados B fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ofelio Palencia should have stopped the shot. If Haroldo Herrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, At. Desamparados B's goal looked a bit too open when Colas Freire came free, but Ofelio Palencia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Octavio Prats notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Matalascañas's Saul Harroyo. Saul Harroyo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Octavio Prats stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Octavio Prats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Saul Harroyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Herrera charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haroldo Herrera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 59 played minutes At. Desamparados B got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Herrera. Ofelio Palencia came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Matalascañas's Frasco Cameno. But to his dismay, Frasco Cameno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 65 played minutes Matalascañas got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Infante. In the 69th match minute, Matalascañas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri Urbieta to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Matalascañas booed when At. Desamparados B was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Tobias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind At. Desamparados B's goalkeeper Ofelio Palencia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 77 minutes into the game, Frasco Cameno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Ofelio Palencia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Octavio Prats's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saul Harroyo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After 81 played minutes Matalascañas got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Urbieta. If Octavio Prats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. At. Desamparados B's Haroldo Herrera got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matalascañas's Saul Harroyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Prats in the 88th minute of play. With a little luck, At. Desamparados B's Ofelio Palencia got control of the ball when Frasco Cameno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Colas Freire charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Colas Freire the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Miguel Tobias came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the At. Desamparados B fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Tobias couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Matalascañas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
