Mesillas CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berdaitz Olmedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ildefonso Revuelta came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Mesillas CF's Cesareo Llinares. But to his dismay, Cesareo Llinares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Berdaitz Olmedo in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ildefonso Revuelta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Montay Morientes kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match Troyes Flores shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ildefonso Revuelta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Mesillas CF's Berdaitz Olmedo in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 29th minute of the match Felipillo Sánchez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ildefonso Revuelta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Berdaitz Olmedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ildefonso Revuelta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ildefonso Revuelta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berdaitz Olmedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cesareo Llinares fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mesillas CF's protests and gave Cesareo Llinares a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mesillas CF booed when Shichibukai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Carceles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ildefonso Revuelta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berdaitz Olmedo in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquin Amorebieta was the one to do the kick off. Mesillas CF's Cesareo Llinares got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cesareo Llinares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Yvon Vicente fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shichibukai's protests and gave Yvon Vicente a yellow card for diving instead. Yvon Vicente kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Cesareo Llinares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ildefonso Revuelta made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Berdaitz Olmedo sent off a good shot on target. Dubardo Carballeira hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Berdaitz Olmedo came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Mesillas CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berdaitz Olmedo couldn't finish the play. Yvon Vicente kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Mesillas CF's Berdaitz Olmedo got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquin Amorebieta kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Berdaitz Olmedo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Mesillas CF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cesareo Llinares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 minutes of play, Mesillas CF's Cesareo Llinares made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ildefonso Revuelta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Quin Peña's late challenge caught a Mesillas CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quin Peña helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Shichibukai getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Quin Peña hit a great ball. If Cesareo Llinares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Berdaitz Olmedo came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Mesillas CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berdaitz Olmedo couldn't finish the play.
