The audience was convinced that Calvino Barroso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ofelio Merino was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Ofelio Merino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvino Barroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. If Rodolfo Bartumeu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Pinzon AD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than New Orleans throughout the match.
