Antonio Pardo made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Aiert Ferrer sent off a good shot on target. Paquito Dean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xarles Nafría in the 13th minute of play. Víctor Flores scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paquito Dean, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paquito Dean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gai Canosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberigo Valcareggi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sæþór Högnason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eron Figueres took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paquito Dean. Cañas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 34 played minutes Cañas got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Treviño. Cañas's Paquito Dean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calvino Ramirez in the 36th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Calvino Ramirez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Fulgencio Reyes took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Antonio Pardo to make any attempt to save it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gai Canosa to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Aiert Ferrer notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Herrera De Alcantara AFC's Antonio Pardo. Antonio Pardo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gai Canosa in the 59th minute of play forced Cañas's goalkeeper Paquito Dean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Cañas's goalkeeper Paquito Dean had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Víctor Flores. Calvino Ramirez came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Paquito Dean could save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Aiert Ferrer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Pardo was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Aiert Ferrer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cañas's supporters rose to their feet, but Aiert Ferrer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Pardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Cañas booed when Herrera De Alcantara AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xarles Nafría didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Xarles Nafría ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paquito Dean was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Gai Canosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paquito Dean having to interfere. The Herrera De Alcantara AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cañas from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
