The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Apemé's Sabin Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save U.D. Apemé from getting a goal against them. Malvin Caminero hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Leobardo Beloki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U.D. Apemé's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leobardo Beloki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Malvin Caminero hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Federico Morado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sabin Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Morado in the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th match minute, U.D. Apemé was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malvin Caminero to maneuver through the defense. Cristofer Puig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Unai Montero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Haritz Planes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unai Montero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Cristofer Puig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Qwinton Lopez hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Unai Montero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U.D. Apemé's supporters crossed their fingers, but Unai Montero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Leobardo Beloki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Federico Morado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sabin Torres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Cristofer Puig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leobardo Beloki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to U.D. Apemé getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Malvin Caminero hit a great ball. The U.D. Apemé supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing U.D. Apemé would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
