The referee ignored O.Victoriana's protests and gave Emil Weida a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Emil Weida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ranas FC's Ciriaco Candela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lekumberri Caballero in the 5th minute of play. Joachim Aranzubia struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Ciriaco Candela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for O.Victoriana. Emil Weida got his second yellow card in the match during the 9th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 10th match minute, O.Victoriana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Weida to maneuver through the defense. Ciriaco Candela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joachim Aranzubia went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Ranas FC's Lander Merino got a free kick in the 16th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Lekumberri Caballero managed to get in a good position for a shot. O.Victoriana's supporters rose to their feet, but Lekumberri Caballero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciriaco Candela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Ranas FC's Ciriaco Candela got control of the ball when Joachim Aranzubia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albert Alcaraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ciriaco Candela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lekumberri Caballero in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciriaco Candela saved Ranas FC from getting behind. 28 minutes into the game, Yuri Cuadrado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ranas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave O.Victoriana the free kick. The supporters of O.Victoriana booed when Ranas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri Cuadrado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Lekumberri Caballero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, O.Victoriana's Lekumberri Caballero got a free kick in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Lekumberri Caballero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lekumberri Caballero in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciriaco Candela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 54th minute, Joachim Aranzubia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gallo Saboya was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Lander Merino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lander Merino really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. O.Victoriana's Dario Jaraba was substituted for Feliks Rekawiczka. A collision led to Ranas FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gabino Molina hit a great ball. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind O.Victoriana's goalkeeper Gallo Saboya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Lekumberri Caballero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The O.Victoriana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. O.Victoriana's Lekumberri Caballero got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, O.Victoriana's Ferdinand Reitz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciriaco Candela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lekumberri Caballero in the 85th minute of play forced Ranas FC's goalkeeper Ciriaco Candela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Dario Jaraba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciriaco Candela was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 90th minute Lekumberri Caballero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Candela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Lekumberri Caballero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciriaco Candela was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. 96 minutes into the match, O.Victoriana's Joachim Aranzubia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciriaco Candela narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
