The supporters of Lorca FC booed when Alcolea Del Rio UD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dolfo Carro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lorca FC's zone, Theofilos Iatridis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Carmona came out of the goal and Theofilos Iatridis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute, Dolfo Carro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lorca FC's zone, Theofilos Iatridis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Carmona came out of the goal and Theofilos Iatridis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Theofilos Iatridis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lorca FC's Baldomero Carmona was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Theofilos Iatridis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Baldomero Carmona skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alcolea Del Rio UD's Herman Örtendahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Acedo in the 27th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Alcolea Del Rio UD's Theofilos Iatridis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Baldomero Carmona. That made the score 1-0 after 28 minutes of play. If Theofilos Iatridis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dolfo Carro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theofilos Iatridis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Baldomero Carmona when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 38th minute, Alcolea Del Rio UD's Leon Dorado seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leon Dorado the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Alcolea Del Rio UD protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leon Dorado had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Lorca FC a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Manu Alonso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Alcolea Del Rio UD's Herman Örtendahl. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 62nd minute, Theofilos Iatridis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alcolea Del Rio UD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Telo Goyanes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Theofilos Iatridis came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Alcolea Del Rio UD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theofilos Iatridis couldn't finish the play. Herman Örtendahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lain Titos, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Zuberoa Bastida received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Herman Örtendahl came out and tried to block the shot, but Zuberoa Bastida slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Theofilos Iatridis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baldomero Carmona. Lorca FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Theofilos Iatridis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 85th match minute, Alcolea Del Rio UD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telo Goyanes to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute Froilan Acedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herman Örtendahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
