Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pepillo Rienda took the kick off in the first half of the match. Pepillo Rienda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pepillo Rienda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Cheche Bernal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 9 played minutes Bailo got a freekick which was hit by Roger Jurado. Alvino Hevia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Blazquez in the 12th minute of play forced La Cañada's goalkeeper Cheche Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petre Nedelcu charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petre Nedelcu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bailo booed when La Cañada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petre Nedelcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes Bailo got a freekick which was hit by Roger Jurado. Cheche Bernal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pepillo Rienda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 minutes of play, Bailo's Pepillo Rienda made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cheche Bernal was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Pepillo Rienda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cheche Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pepillo Rienda in the 22nd minute of the match. Peri Odín was a little too slow when Alvino Hevia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 27th match minute, La Cañada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petre Nedelcu to maneuver through the defense. Rodolfo Abrego took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cheche Bernal. La Cañada's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alvino Hevia might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peri Odín. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvino Hevia ran back to his position shaking his head. Felipe Casas hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Blazquez in the 40th minute of play forced La Cañada's goalkeeper Cheche Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alvino Hevia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Alvino Hevia made the kick off in the second half. Petre Nedelcu hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Cheche Bernal was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Pepillo Rienda capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pepillo Rienda really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 76th minute, La Cañada's Cilio Bargas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cilio Bargas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of La Cañada protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cilio Bargas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 75 minutes into the game, one of La Cañada:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd rose to their feet as Bailo's Rio Sarrate slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cheche Bernal. That made the score 1-4 after 83 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rio Sarrate got free with Cheche Bernal in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. La Cañada's Cheche Bernal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pepillo Rienda in the 94th minute of play.
