Valera De Abajo SD's Ibon Balcells got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Freddy Barbosa hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Ibon Balcells notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Patrite's Reinaldo Arraz. Reinaldo Arraz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 17 minutes, Eulalio Peña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patrite's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eulalio Peña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Serapio Gandia's late challenge caught a Patrite's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serapio Gandia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Valera De Abajo SD's Serapio Gandia got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Alano Sauca sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Valera De Abajo SD's Norino Lorenzo didn't even have to move. In the 21st match minute, Valera De Abajo SD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Romero to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Ibon Balcells managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valera De Abajo SD's supporters rose to their feet, but Ibon Balcells was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reinaldo Arraz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the game, Valera De Abajo SD's Jose-Manuel Abellan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reinaldo Arraz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 27 played minutes Patrite got a freekick which was hit by Nabar Saez. After some careless play in the Patrite defense, Ibon Balcells kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reinaldo Arraz. The Patrite fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reinaldo Arraz should have stopped the shot. Reinaldo Arraz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jose-Manuel Abellan went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Valera De Abajo SD's Jose-Manuel Abellan got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ibon Balcells scored 1-5 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reinaldo Arraz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cefero Ortiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinaldo Arraz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tebaldo Zubizarreta made the kick off in the second half. Ibon Balcells fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Arraz having to interfere. Eduino Freire took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Norino Lorenzo. Valera De Abajo SD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Jose-Manuel Abellan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinaldo Arraz was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Jose-Manuel Abellan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jose-Manuel Abellan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. Jose-Manuel Abellan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Alberto Abancens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Reinaldo Arraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
