William Doblas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Mudarra having to interfere. William Doblas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Real Club Fuengirola's Modesto Mudarra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Doblas in the 72nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that William Doblas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Modesto Mudarra was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Real Club Fuengirola's zone, Manuel Solera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modesto Mudarra came out of the goal and Manuel Solera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Real Club Fuengirola's Nando Sevilla got a free kick in the 90th minute. Lino Madariaga's late challenge caught a Real Club Fuengirola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Madariaga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Deportivo La Coruna's William Doblas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Modesto Mudarra. Modesto Mudarra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo La Coruna left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Real Club Fuengirola.
