A collision led to Roland CD getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Agustín Losada hit a great ball. Cartagena Red Wolves's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ildefonso Bargas in the 4th minute. After taking down the ball on Cartagena Red Wolves's corner Veremundo Sánchez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hector Camarasa quite easily take care of the ball. Hector Camarasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Bargas in the 7th minute of play. Ildefonso Bargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Hector Camarasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Firman Palanques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sofronio Madariaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cartagena Red Wolves's Cebrián Abajas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tebaldo Navas in the 21st minute of play. Hector Camarasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Bargas in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Roland CD's zone, Firman Palanques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Camarasa came out of the goal and Firman Palanques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the game, Firman Palanques cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Hector Camarasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Firman Palanques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Cartagena Red Wolves booed when Roland CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damario Cacheres didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tebaldo Navas made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Ildefonso Bargas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hector Camarasa was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. After some careless play in the Cartagena Red Wolves defense, Sofronio Madariaga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cebrián Abajas. The Cartagena Red Wolves fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cebrián Abajas should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Cartagena Red Wolves booed when Roland CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damario Cacheres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ildefonso Bargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Hector Camarasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Indar Campello fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Roland CD's protests and gave Indar Campello a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Roland CD's Sofronio Madariaga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Cartagena Red Wolves's Cebrián Abajas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Negro in the 66th minute of play. Firman Palanques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hector Camarasa having to make a save. Firman Palanques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Camarasa having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Roland CD got a freekick which was hit by Indar Campello. Roland CD's Hector Camarasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Bargas in the 74th minute of play. When Damario Cacheres fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Roland CD's protests and gave Damario Cacheres a yellow card for diving instead. Damario Cacheres hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Firman Palanques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cebrián Abajas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tebaldo Navas, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Firman Palanques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cartagena Red Wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Firman Palanques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
