In the 22nd minute, García Rojas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Echavarri was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. David Echavarri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lluciano Bermejo in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Sporting de Veles's David Echavarri got control of the ball when García Rojas tried to sneak it across the goal line. David Echavarri was a little too slow when Isidor Ponce got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 3-0. David Echavarri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pepe Menendez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
