A nice corner shot did that Guillerme Cabrera got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marquez Vuelta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A hard shot by Lonzo Quintanilla from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Giorgio Beloki's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Giorgio Beloki made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Lazcano Bueno sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute Gaskon Cifuentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgio Beloki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Flores was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 24 minutes into the match. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Petan esport club! Thanks to some nice moves Lazcano Bueno could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Giorgio Beloki however easily saved by the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvino Rey to strike the kick off in the second half.
