The referee ignored Petan esport club's protests and gave Witomir Kordalewski a yellow card for diving instead. Witomir Kordalewski kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes JB CF got a freekick which was hit by Andres Helguera. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvino Rey in the 14th minute of play forced JB CF's goalkeeper Octavian Van Der Weghen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pau Riba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Aladino Gimeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Van Der Weghen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavian Van Der Weghen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aladino Gimeno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of JB CF booed when Petan esport club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witomir Kordalewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. JB CF's Pau Riba got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 31 minutes, Pau Riba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JB CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pau Riba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Pau Riba managed to get in a good position for a shot. JB CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Pau Riba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. JB CF's Octavian Van Der Weghen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witomir Kordalewski in the 38th minute of play. Petan esport club's Witomir Kordalewski got his second yellow card of the match in the 43rd minute. The referee ordered Witomir Kordalewski off the ground. The supporters of JB CF booed when Petan esport club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witomir Kordalewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 48 minutes, Silvino Rey made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. JB CF's Octavian Van Der Weghen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Gregorio Domingo managed to get in a good position for a shot. JB CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregorio Domingo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giorgio Beloki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gregorio Domingo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Giorgio Beloki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aladino Gimeno took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octavian Van Der Weghen. Octavian Van Der Weghen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The Petan esport club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Petan esport club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
