Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mino Puig started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Gargantin got a freekick which was hit by Kepa Mondejar. Gerard Acedo hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. A collision led to Gargantin getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Kepa Mondejar hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the game, Mino Puig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ander Marquez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 12th match minute, Igualada AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Playo Helguera to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Gargantin's Sinforiano Raya slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Checa Sauca. That made the score 1-1 after 13 minutes of play. Kepa Mondejar's late challenge caught a Igualada AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kepa Mondejar helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes Gargantin got a freekick which was hit by Kepa Mondejar. After 18 played minutes, Igualada AFC's Gerard Acedo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ander Marquez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Igualada AFC reached it. Ander Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ventura Jubera, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The supporters of Igualada AFC booed when Gargantin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubarna Caminero didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leobardo Zurica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Gargantin defense, Mino Puig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ander Marquez. The Gargantin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ander Marquez should have stopped the shot. Anibal Beloki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Checa Sauca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sinforiano Raya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sinforiano Raya to make the kick off. Mino Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ander Marquez having to interfere. Norberto Domenech hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, Igualada AFC's Gerard Acedo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ander Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eneko Viejo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ander Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mino Puig in the 64th minute of the match. Leobardo Zurica's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ander Marquez firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Mino Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Cisco Vazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ander Marquez acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gerard Acedo. A collision led to Igualada AFC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Playo Helguera hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Igualada AFC's Mino Puig ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ander Marquez. Ander Marquez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Gargantin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Ventura Jubera scored to the left of an out of position Ander Marquez, making the score, 1-5. Gargantin's Ander Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ventura Jubera in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84thth minute of the game Sinforiano Raya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Igualada AFC's Checa Sauca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ventura Jubera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Checa Sauca came out of the goal and Kepa Mondejar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sinforiano Raya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Gargantin's goal looked a bit too open when Leobardo Zurica came free, but Ander Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Igualada AFC's Ventura Jubera ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ander Marquez. Ander Marquez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6.
