The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th match minute, SPQR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesareo Zapater to maneuver through the defense. After 11 played minutes Cuesta Blanca AFC got a freekick which was hit by Chinto Beloki. In the 16th minute, Llanos Moreno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Chepe Zárate ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jaume Marin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Nesor Quintanilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jerrold Feliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Llanos Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerrold Feliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SPQR's Roi Odín got a free kick in the 27th minute. If Bladi Durango had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerrold Feliu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nesor Quintanilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 40thth minute of the game Abundio Zapico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuesta Blanca AFC's Jaume Marin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emiliano Marines got free with Jaume Marin in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elvis Carceles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chepe Zárate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SPQR's Jerrold Feliu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save SPQR from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the match, SPQR's goalkeeper Jerrold Feliu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bladi Durango. After a rather tough play, SPQR's Roi Odín got a free kick in the 61st minute. With a little luck, SPQR's Jerrold Feliu got control of the ball when Bladi Durango tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xofre Novo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaume Marin having to interfere. When Elvis Carceles fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cuesta Blanca AFC's protests and gave Elvis Carceles a yellow card for diving instead. Elvis Carceles hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bladi Durango got free with Jerrold Feliu in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 88 played minutes Cuesta Blanca AFC got a freekick which was hit by Chinto Beloki. Jaume Marin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cesareo Zapater went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Cuesta Blanca AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
