Bruno Caldow made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abarrotz Montero in the 17th minute. In the 23rd minute, Abarrotz Montero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute, Deividas Tamošiūnas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tarrako Manda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Fredo Dorado charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fredo Dorado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, Fredo Dorado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 33 minutes, Abarrotz Montero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Vinaroz 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abarrotz Montero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 40 played minutes Tarrako Manda got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Zubizarreta. Julen Villa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deividas Tamošiūnas in the 44th minute of the match. Fredo Dorado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julen Villa having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abarrotz Montero made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC Vinaroz 's zone, Gonsalvo Duran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julen Villa came out of the goal and Gonsalvo Duran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julen Villa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredo Dorado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fredo Dorado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute FC Vinaroz were awarded a corner. Luis-Javier Justo went to the cornerflag to take it. Abarrotz Montero made a great header on FC Vinaroz 's corner, it was just that Tarrako Manda's Bruno Caldow managed to reach the ball for a save. After 74 minutes of play Tarrako Manda's Fredo Dorado was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 75 played minutes Tarrako Manda got a freekick which was hit by Fredo Dorado. In the 80th minute Deividas Tamošiūnas collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. After 80 minutes, Jaime Huarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Vinaroz and the Tarrako Manda players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tarrako Manda's Batista Valdés was substituted for Deividas Tamošiūnas. After 82 played minutes FC Vinaroz got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Huarte. FC Vinaroz 's Julen Villa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save FC Vinaroz from getting a goal against them. Tarrako Manda's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
