Meilan's Angel Soto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Bartumeu in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Rayo Alcaparra's Severo Bartumeu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angel Soto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 13th minute, Siro Cardeñosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Meilan getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Bartolomé Amorebieta hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Lluis Mera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Soto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Radowit Ciupierdo made a precise shot to the right of Angel Soto. Meilan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After 31 played minutes Rayo Alcaparra got a freekick which was hit by Lluis Mera. Tartalo Coya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Cainzos in the 32nd minute of the match. Rayo Alcaparra's Tartalo Coya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Rayo Alcaparra from getting a goal against them. Tartalo Coya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nel Villanueva in the 41st minute of play. Angel Soto came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rayo Alcaparra's Lluis Mera. But to his dismay, Lluis Mera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Disappointed in the 2-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Radowit Ciupierdo to strike the kick off in the second half. Severo Bartumeu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Soto having to interfere. Angel Soto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lluis Mera in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Dagoberto Cainzos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tartalo Coya was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. Tartalo Coya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Cainzos in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Dagoberto Cainzos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tartalo Coya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Rayo Alcaparra defense, Bartolomé Amorebieta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tartalo Coya. The Rayo Alcaparra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tartalo Coya should have stopped the shot. Nofre Tobias charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nofre Tobias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Meilan's Nofre Tobias got a free kick in the 71st minute. Siro Cardeñosa charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Rayo Alcaparra booed when Meilan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 88 minutes of play, Meilan's Dagoberto Cainzos made it 5-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tartalo Coya was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tartalo Coya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Cainzos in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Meilan fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rayo Alcaparra had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
