In the 7th minute Nofre Tobias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Cordarryl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nofre Tobias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Eulalio Cordarryl made a huge save. Nofre Tobias who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Eulalio Cordarryl when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Martin Malo's Eulalio Cordarryl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nel Villanueva in the 19th minute of play. Nel Villanueva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eulalio Cordarryl having to interfere. Angel Soto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Rivas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Dagoberto Cainzos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Nel Villanueva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eulalio Cordarryl. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. Meilan's Angel Soto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Lermo in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Martin Malo's goal looked a bit too open when Nel Villanueva came free, but Eulalio Cordarryl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Flavio Jorquera fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Martin Malo's protests and gave Flavio Jorquera a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Martin Malo's Flavio Jorquera got a free kick in the 34th minute. Nofre Tobias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Eulalio Cordarryl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Martin Malo's goal looked a bit too open when Nel Villanueva came free, but Eulalio Cordarryl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Meilan defense, Flavio Jorquera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angel Soto. The Meilan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angel Soto should have stopped the shot. The Meilan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Martin Malo were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nofre Tobias to make the kick off. In the 50th minute, Flavio Jorquera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Martin Malo's Hilario Lermo got a free kick in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nofre Tobias in the 55th minute of play forced Martin Malo's goalkeeper Eulalio Cordarryl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Nofre Tobias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eulalio Cordarryl was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Martin Malo's Hilario Lermo got a free kick in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Dagoberto Cainzos notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Martin Malo's Eulalio Cordarryl. Eulalio Cordarryl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 64 played minutes Meilan got a freekick which was hit by Quirce Astudillo. The tension between the Martin Malo and the Meilan players grew even worse after the yellow card. 72 minutes into the game, Nofre Tobias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Eulalio Cordarryl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eulalio Cordarryl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nel Villanueva's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Meilan's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Jorquera came free, but Angel Soto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Hilario Lermo made a precise shot to the right of Angel Soto. Meilan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. 86 minutes into the game, Xamo Garcia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Martin Malo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meilan the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Martin Malo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Eulalio Cordarryl had in the 90thth minute some difficulties stopping Olaf Bellido's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Olaf Bellido did an outstanding performance 90 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 4-3 to the right of an irritated Eulalio Cordarryl in the goal. Angel Soto made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Cornelio Rivas sent off a good shot on target. Flavio Jorquera was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Martin Malo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Meilan's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
