The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 14th minute, one of Las Planas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Las Planas. The referee gave Poqueira FC a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Orti Gil, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Las Planas's Germán Gonzalvez. 0-1. Germán Gonzalvez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbigniew Chmelyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 played minutes Las Planas got a freekick which was hit by Agamenón Rodriguez. In the 22nd minute, Orti Gil sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Las Planas's Germán Gonzalvez didn't even have to move. Germán Gonzalvez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Belmiro Entero's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Juan-Francisco Casals was shown his second yellow card after 31 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 31st minute, Juan-Francisco Casals hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Las Planas's Ansuro Bernal got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Germán Gonzalvez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Entero, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Belmiro Entero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Germán Gonzalvez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Las Planas's Germán Gonzalvez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Entero in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

If Belmiro Entero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Germán Gonzalvez managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Poqueira FC's Belmiro Entero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Belmiro Entero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poqueira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Belmiro Entero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Germán Gonzalvez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Germán Gonzalvez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mundo Losada in the 79th minute of play.
