After some careless play in the CD.Trivao defense, Aurelio Pascual kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Macedonio España. The CD.Trivao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Macedonio España should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Santianes FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Gaizkine Echavarri hit a great ball. Santianes FC's Aron Kevade got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Aurelio Pascual notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of CD.Trivao's Macedonio España. Macedonio España was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Macedonio España made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egun Jareño in the 15th minute of play. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Alberto Einstein sped through CD.Trivao's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Macedonio España. Alberto Einsteins short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Macedonio España to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egun Jareño in the 23rd minute of play forced CD.Trivao's goalkeeper Macedonio España to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Macedonio España came out of the goal and Alberto Einstein tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, Egun Jareño fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Macedonio España, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Pascual Carro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santianes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pascual Carro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Macedonio España breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armando Beloki charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armando Beloki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Armando Beloki hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, Pascual Carro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Macedonio España, 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Einstein made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in CD.Trivao's zone, Aurelio Pascual stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Macedonio España came out of the goal and Aurelio Pascual tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Einstein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Macedonio España having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, CD.Trivao's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Pascual came free, but Macedonio España reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Einstein in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Macedonio España prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 76 minutes, Egun Jareño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santianes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egun Jareño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to CD.Trivao getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Quin Zapatero hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute Egun Jareño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Macedonio España saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Santianes FC's Aurelio Pascual got a free kick in the 89th minute. Aurelio Pascual's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Macedonio España read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. If Aurelio Pascual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
