An unexpectedly hard shot by Iban Sancho in the 7th minute of play forced La Portella's goalkeeper Nofre Saura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alcover's Marcial Amorebieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eneko Sanz in the 9th minute of play. If Reynaldo Valdés had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Valdés came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nofre Saura could save by the left post. In the 28th minute, Pau Tarin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Reynaldo Valdés could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Nofre Saura however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, La Portella's Amaro Etxeberria got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, Alex Camara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reynaldo Valdés came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nofre Saura could save by the left post. Amaro Etxeberria charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amaro Etxeberria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Amaro Etxeberria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nofre Saura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iban Sancho in the 41st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdo Correa during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in La Portella fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iban Sancho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, La Portella's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Valdés came free, but Nofre Saura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nofre Saura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iban Sancho in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of La Portella booed when Alcover was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iban Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Reynaldo Valdés had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Valdés sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nofre Saura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iban Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Reynaldo Valdés managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alcover's supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaldo Valdés was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nofre Saura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 82 played minutes La Portella got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Aznar. In the 83rd minute of the match Alberto Folch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nofre Saura showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alcover's Iban Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Iban Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Iban Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nofre Saura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, La Portella's goal looked a bit too open when Iban Sancho came free, but Nofre Saura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Portella's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
