Nabar Serena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Iniesta during the 15th minute. After some careless play in the Valencia CF defense, Rios Benito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nabar Serena. The Valencia CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nabar Serena should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute Silban Salan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nabar Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nabar Serena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zenon Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes Valencia CF got a freekick which was hit by Llorienzo Moya. 31 minutes into the game, Rios Benito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Nabar Serena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nabar Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urtzi Marin in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Valencia CF's Llorienzo Moya got a free kick in the 35th minute. Nabar Serena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urtzi Marin in the 37th minute of the match. After 39 minutes of play, Gadir's Zenon Marques made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nabar Serena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Urtzi Marin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Nabar Serena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urtzi Marin was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Valencia CF's Nabar Serena got control of the ball when Zenon Marques tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valencia CF's Nabar Serena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silban Salan in the 54th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Urtzi Marin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nabar Serena. Valencia CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Urtzi Marin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. After a defensive mix-up in Valencia CF's zone, Urtzi Marin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nabar Serena came out of the goal and Urtzi Marin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Urtzi Marin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nabar Serena. That made the score 0-7 in the 67 minute of play. Nabar Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urtzi Marin in the 71st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Iniesta in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kobe Vrancken saved Gadir from getting behind. Nabar Serena made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Zenon Marques sent off a good shot on target. Nabar Serena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urtzi Marin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Llorienzo Moya kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Gadir played a much better game than Valencia CF and deserved their victory. The Valencia CF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
