The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Gil got free with Reno Valverde in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Santiago Gil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reno Valverde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in La Cerradura UD's zone, Bao Abajas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reno Valverde came out of the goal and Bao Abajas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute of the match Vincente Guerrero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amato Alonso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 16th minute, Tato Zubiaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Cerradura UD's Guillen Mangas got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Gaztea Vazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in El Trocadero's zone, Nicholas Novo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amato Alonso came out of the goal and Nicholas Novo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicholas Novo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicholas Novo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Amato Alonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to La Cerradura UD getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ugaitz Zafrilla hit a great ball. El Trocadero's Amato Alonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicholas Novo in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bao Abajas made a kick off. Amato Alonso made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Xalo Gonzalvez sent off a good shot on target. Guillen Mangas scored 0-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amato Alonso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. La Cerradura UD's Guillen Mangas got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of La Cerradura UD booed when El Trocadero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tato Zubiaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nofre Landa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, El Trocadero's Tato Zubiaga got a free kick in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the game, La Cerradura UD's Guillen Mangas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amato Alonso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Amato Alonso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillen Mangas in the 74th minute.
