Fuendejalón FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benet Saez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Fuendejalón FC's zone, Benet Saez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco-Antonio Palencia came out of the goal and Benet Saez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Jesús Puyol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco-Antonio Palencia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benet Saez in the 31st minute of play. REUS NILOGA's Benet Saez got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arturo Candela during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st minute, Arturo Candela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Genaro Jofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Gene having to interfere. The Fuendejalón FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. REUS NILOGA were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frisco Folch was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Arturo Candela dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marco-Antonio Palencia, 0-3. In the 57th match minute, Fuendejalón FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Galeno Izquierdo to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Fuendejalón FC's Marco-Antonio Palencia got control of the ball when Benet Saez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arturo Candela struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Marco-Antonio Palencia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for REUS NILOGA. Fuendejalón FC's Marco-Antonio Palencia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Santos in the 63rd minute of play. Benet Saez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Marco-Antonio Palencia made a huge save. REUS NILOGA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Guido Font in the 70th minute. Jaime Gene stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frisco Folch's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Benet Saez might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco-Antonio Palencia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benet Saez ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th minute Frisco Folch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Gene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, REUS NILOGA's goal looked a bit too open when Frisco Folch came free, but Jaime Gene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute Genaro Jofre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Gene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was beautiful to see Fuendejalón FC's Chayo Mezquita in action when he in the 96th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched REUS NILOGA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
